Panic Cure Tips
When it comes to panic attacks, many people are unclear about the panic cure or treatment they need to fully resolve their issue.
Many who suffer from panic attacks and who want a panic cure often can relate to the following 2 main experiences or feelings. The first one is a time in the past when something seemed to feel almost painful and intense for them to go through.
The second thing they can relate to is having the feeling that they are out of control and that there mind is running them instead of them running their own mind. They sometimes feel as though the panic cure will have to involve someone else or something else that will have to do doing something to them instead of them being responsible for the change they made.
If someone was to think that the panic attack is happening because of some force they can never control, then it is very possible they might seek the wrong panic cure solution.
Many people experience panic attacks when they feel the onset of another out of control experience. Ironically, what seemed to create the panic attack was their attempt to stop the panic attack. How many times has this happened to you?
The thing that really sets peoples panic attacks off is the thought about a possible panic attack firing off in the future. The main culprit for the panic attacks is the fear of having or experiencing the fear. In other words, many people have panic attacks because they are thinking about the possibility of panicking in the future.
A technique that people have used as a panic cure was to look at the panic attack in a new way. Instead of calling the experience a ‘panic attack’, they called it something that had no meaning or something humorous.
Then they explained the out of control experience in a new way as well. They replaced the out of control experience with another word that had no meaning or that was humorous. For example, these people would say something similar to the following: when I think of meeting new people I get muffins and I feel like lollipop.
Just changing the words seemed to take out the impact and stressful symptoms associated with thinking about having panic attacks.
Remember, if something works for someone, it doesn’t really have to make sense, all that really matters is what safely works. Many solutions in life can be counter intuitive to what we actually think may work.
Often times, people can talk themselves into feeling fearful and they can learn to feel this way habitually. If you can train one habit into yourself, then you replace that habit with something else or new and unlearn the old habit. Just be mindful of the words and statements you say to yourself. In a way, eavesdrop on yourself.
There is a saying that says ‘what you practice you become’. So what habits are you practicing? Some people have the habit of going into an unresourceful state before or when they meet new people.
People have found that practicing putting themselves into a resourceful state in a situation of meeting new people for example, was an effective panic cure solution that helped them overcome their fear.
